Ctelangana

Hanamkonda is a neighbourhood of the city of Warangal in the Indian state of Telangana. It is located amidst Kazipet and Warangal, about 140 km (87 mi) northeast of the state capital, Hyderabad. It was merged in Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation.

The Government of Telangana has split the Warangal district into three. Hanamkonda has been carved out from the existing Warangal district. The important towns in new Hanamkonda district include Huzarabad, Husnabad, Jangaon, Station Ghanpur, Palakurthy and Wardhannapet.

There is widespread dissent over the formation of Hanmakonda through splitting it from Warangal. On the other hand, people from Jangaon are protesting for Jangaon district.
